I love seeing the new school year (for me in the UK, it begins in September) as a fresh start for myself, to set new goals and get into a good school routine again. I hope some of the following tips help any of you starting a new school year soon!
Write down a list of all of your long-term goals (e.g. university, career, future house and stability etc) and your short-term goals (e.g. getting an A in a small exam, take part in lessons more etc) – you could type these goals up so they are easily adjustable and you can keep referring to them! Next to each goal, write down all the steps to get there.

1. Create a list of everything you would LIKE to do in a month, but things that you DON'T ‘have to do’, this may be as simple as relaxing, or maybe doing yoga every morning. As much as I love to do lists, the things on them are often ‘chores’ and not enjoyable tasks, and I think it’s just as important to schedule in things that you enjoy doing!
2. Message a friend that you haven’t spoken to in the last few months, ask them how they’re doing and tell them anything exciting that’s happened to you, and maybe arrange to meet them over the summer for a catch-up! 3. Every day, write down one thing that made you laugh, and at the end of the month you can come back to it and read all of the funny things that have happened in July, hopefully it will bring a smile back to your face :) |
AuthorI am a 19 year old aspiring doctor and I am currently studying at medical school, after completing my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I have just finished my first year and will be starting second year in September. I created this blog to share my study tips and techniques and advice on applying to university, as well as some health and lifestyle posts, too. I hope you find them useful! Jasmine x Archives
